[discussion_vu] PUNJAB YOUTH POLICY

Government of Punjab through Youth Affairs, Sports, Archeology &
Tourism Department and Chief Minister Youth Mobilization Committee
Office of the Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab take
pleasure to share the draft Youth Policy Punjab 2011.
The draft is an outcome of extensive consultations across the province
of Punjab with diverse youth groups, civil society organizations,
public representatives, media, government officials and experts that
spans around eight months. In the post 18th amendment scenario which
has ensured provincial autonomy, provinces are in the phase of
formulation of policies with respect to the new subjects. Among many
other, 'Youth Affairs' has also been transferred to provinces and
Punjab Youth Policy is in the making.
The initiative to work on youth policy was taken by Information.
Culture & Youth Affair Department but after 14th Oct through a
notification a separate department was created to look into the
matters of youth affairs, sports, archeology and tourism which is now
rendering its support to continue the efforts of coming up with a
comprehensive policy document. Together with, CM Youth Mobilization
Committee also has been supporting to hold consultations with Members
of Punjab Assembly and needless to say all the efforts reflect
seriousness on the part of government machinery. This is indeed a
historic moment when the most concerned stakeholders in this process
have been involved in policy consultations. Even now you can review
the draft and share your input. This is a clear manifestation of
commitment at the hand of institutions and now it is your turn – the
citizens of Pakistan to make your voice heard through your input and
comments. Please click the link below to reach the Draft, Punjab Youth
Policy in a separate window. Read it thoroughly and return here again
to share your comments. http://punjabyouthpolicy.pk
