English Translation of Al-Quran
[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]
Ayat 50. They (the sorcerers) said to Firaun: "No harm! (even if you cut off our hands and feet and crucify all of us) "Surely, to our Lord (Allah) we are to return; Ayat 51. "Verily! We really hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers [in Mûsa (Moses) and in the Monotheism which he has brought from Allah]." [Tafseer].
Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH) said, "During the Miraj (the Night of Ascension), I saw a group of people who were scratching their chests and faces with their copper nails. I asked, `Who are these people, O Jibril?' Jibril replied: `These are the people who ate flesh of others (by backbiting) and trampled people's honour.''
[Abu Dawud Hadith # 4878].
[Muslim Book 06, Chapter 36, Hadith # 2614].
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shuara Ayat 50."(the sorcerers) said to Firaun: "No harm! (even if you cut off our hands and feet and crucify all of us)". "These are the people who ate flesh of others'' is a metaphor for backbiting. "To trample people's honour'' is akin to harming their goodwill and honour. The punishment for these things mentioned in Hadith makes their seriousness obvious.
